Healthy Low Fat Meal For weight loss. This is a simple low fat beef or turkey slow cooker chili recipe. For this recipe, you will need I one pound of extra lean 96% grass fed organic beef or the lowest fat highest quality beef or turkey you can find or afford. You will need 2 cups of chopped onion, one clove of chopped garlic, one and half cups green bell pepper, one small stalk of celery, one tablespoon of chili powder, one quarter teaspoon salt, one teaspoon cumin, one quarter teaspoon of hot chili flakes (optional), one can of no saltlow salt cooked kidney beans, one to one and half cups water, and one 15 ounce can of stewed tomatoes. Start by browning the beef in a medium heat skillet for a few minutes, add onion and garlic and sweat onion until transparent, about 4 to 7 minutes. Add peppers, celery and spices and mix ingredients. In the slow cooker add stewed tomatoes, kidney beans and pour over skillet of cooked beef and vegetables. Mix through and set on low for 4 to 6 hours. You can add addtional salt or cheese for additional flavor. Pour over your favorite side dish for a great low fat healthy meal.
